Last week we held our first live class together in response to the escalating situation with the Coronavirus. I shared some thoughts on coping in stressful times, we moved a little together, and then we practiced a loving kindness meditation.
I was so touched by the positive responses, and all of us as a team felt the energy and love in the community. It’s clear how important and powerful it is to come together, now more than ever.
When we connect in this way as a community, we create a pool of support and energy that we can give to, and receive from when we need to. It helps us to offer each other support and love and to keep a positive attitude. And hopefully from this we can create a ripple effect of support to the rest of the people around us, whether that’s in person or digitally.
So I’ll continue giving a live class every weekday at 17:00 CET starting today, 23rd March 2020 (that’s 14.00 GMT / 9:00 PDT / 12:00 EDT)
Let’s come together as a community
Please visit our YouTube channel – you’ll see the upcoming live streams there.
Subscribe to the channel and set yourself a reminder for the sessions.
We’ve chosen this time of day so that people in as many countries as possible can join but I know this time won’t work for everyone. You can watch the classes later if you can’t make it live.
If you are joining later I recommend setting a specific time each day to watch so that it can create a regular pattern in your day. It’s helpful for us to stick to routines and stability as much as we can right now.
The live classes will include a check-in talk, a little bit of movement and a group meditation to settle our minds and bring us together. We’ll keep the classes around 30 minutes or less.
I’ll recommend some yoga and movement classes for EkhartYoga members in the class descriptions, plus there are free classes from our relief program for non-members.
There may well be days where you don’t feel like joining. I invite you to try anyway, those are probably the days when you need the strength of the group more than others.
Let’s tune into love as a community and hold that space for ourselves and others.
