Direct experience: Hatha yoga practice for action

A class that involves creating direct experiences for specific actions and applying them in a variety of poses. Starting with David’s signature 'Rolling the Joints' warm up and Sun Salute variations, we then practice two direct actions - squeezing in and pushing out of the legs and arms - that we repeat in different shapes. We also spend some time exploring spinal articulation, putting these actions to play in some standing poses. The class then moves to Headstand and Shoulderstand. If you are not practicing inversions, skip these or feel free to finish the class there. The last pose of full wheel backbend is a "real kicker" to put the actions in place, before finally arriving in Savasana. Block and belt needed.
