Esther talks about two approaches of meditation: using meditation only to calm and steady our mind, and using meditation to connect to our 'beingness', without goal or intention. The first approach has a clear intention; to release stress and find balance between mind and body. However, when we use meditation to open to a deeper ground in ourselves, we let go of any ‘gain’ oriented focus. We simply sense what is here, dropping all labels and the urge to find meaning in what we experience. Without the meaning we give to it, reality can open up to us fully. You can follow this talk with the following, 'Deep meditation'.
