Pregnancy yoga: Preparing for birth

Keep a bolster, chair and blocks handy for this class. This practice is geared towards preparation for your baby's birth. Labour and birth can seem to be a daunting task for your body and mind. This class will give you some tools to help align your mind with the process of labour and birth by focussing on opening up the birth canal. Your baby’s birth is supported by your ability to relax, to trust your body's wisdom and to allow your body to go through this process uninterrupted. Consciously engaging and releasing the pelvic floor will create awareness in the area that needs to open, the mental focus of feeling into the pelvic area and birth canal will give your attention an anchor.  The use of breath and sound will be tools you can use to assist you in your baby's birth.  Class with Tadasana, Adho Mukha Svanasana, Virabhadrasana II, Parsvakonasana, Baddha Konasana and more.
