Building bridges - backbends

An exciting sequence of long hold lunges to prepare the hips for backbends.  Each set of Lunges are held with a timer to get the groins and hip flexors opened to balance for hours of sitting in our daily lives.  A few other preparations of the shoulders and chest and then we build the bridges!  This sequence has handstand in it, with an alternative in the practice itself.  The final backbends are there to bring the philosophy of the class into reality of bridging the body/mind/spirit… the individual/all of consciousness… and you to all humans.  Building Bridges physically and energetically.  PROPS:  Block & Blanket are helpful but not necessary.
