Work on your upper back, shoulders and hamstrings

Start with a shoulder / upper back sequence with the belt, borrowed from Erich Schifmann. After opening the upper back and hamstrings we start to flow in Sun Salutations and standing poses with twists to help open and loosen the upper back. Some of the standing poses practiced are Parivrtta Trikonasana/ Twisted Triangle Pose, Prasaraita Paddotanasana variation, Wide Legged Forward Bend and Ardha Matsyendrasana / Half Lord of the Fishes Pose. Of course a cool down an a relaxation are part of this Yoga class as well.
