Warming up your upper body

We become aware and we reduce tension in shoulders and neck with this introduction to the principles of Somatic Movements. With gentle stretches we allow the shoulders to regain their natural range of movements, regaining the control of a correct pattern and getting rid of stress. It can be practiced as a class on its own, to refresh and renew anytime we feel congested and stressed, mentally bringing the connection with the present moment. It is also an excellent preparation to any yoga class, where the upper body is stimulated and it feels light and free, ready for more advanced practices around the shoulders.
