Part 1 of of Andrew's headstand series.
An introduction for the experienced beginner to the practice of Headstand (Sirsasana). Beginning, after a few moments of sitting quietly with gentle stretching and articulating of the muscles of the neck, shoulders and arms. To compliment the movement of the upper body, the hamstrings and backs of the legs are gently stretched and toned with a simple flowing sequence based around Downward Dog . The Dolphin Posture provides strengthening for the shoulders and upper body, leading to the preliminary stages of the Headstand. The practice finishes with a few minutes lying in Savasana.
