Maybe you’ve never tried meditation, or you've tried it but didn't 'succeed'. If you're new to meditation it’s a good idea to practice mindfulness, which is about being aware in the present moment. We begin by observing the sensory experience - what we see, hear, smell, feel on our skin or in our body. We can then start to observe the mind and see the thoughts and emotions that come and go. Our mind can go anywhere, to future plans or things that happened in the past. However, when we bring our awareness to the breath - which is always here - we can experience this moment fully.
