In service of breath

A continuous flow class that focuses on a counted breath pattern throughout.  When life challenges us, we tend to lose connection to the breath first, even though breathing is the most important thing we do.  So this ‘mellow flow’ practice focuses on maintaining a rhythmic breath through all the movements to create a new awareness of how each shape and moment of life affects how we breathe…and vice versa. We begin with a short joint rolling series, then into the counted breath tempo for some lunges, standing pose variations and a few down dog variations.  Some twists here and there too, pulsing to the breath. This is a great class when you are a bit low on energy, worried about something or just want to have a ‘gentle’ flow with inspiring words.
