Class 1: Yin yoga - breath focus

Feel yourself relax and at the same time energised from deep within. This Yin yoga class starts with establishing the ocean breath and then maintains this breath throughout the poses. This will enliven and expand the lungs, dynamically pulling in fresh air (Prana) and then expelling stale air and stress (Apana). This breath will also help facilitate calming the mind and help you to stay present with the movement of the breath. Poses practiced include Butterfly pose, Twisted Child's pose, Half Butterfly variation and seated meditation. You may need a bolster, or some pillows, and a couple of blocks for this practice.
