Esther begins this class with a short talk on how to cope with life after lockdown (if you are indeed out of lockdown and finding things difficult). Next, a gentle warm up leads to activating Prana with the 4-part Daoist breath practice. (Prana is an energy that pulses through the body along a network of subtle body channels which act as a conduit for this energy.) We follow this with some flow and core work, radiating energy through the body during standing poses like Triangle pose, Half moon pose and perhaps even Sugarcane pose. For those looking for an extra challenge we practice Pincha Mayurasana, an inversion.
This practice encourages us to experience Prana as a felt sense when we become still. Also included in this class is some neural mobilisation work to prepare the spine for physical movement.
