This class starts with a centring; this teaches you how to show your nervous system (which may be unconsciously stuck in a fight, flight or freeze reaction) that this moment is safe. Next, we lie on the floor and roll around a bit. Nothing helps me personally to relax more in the present, than having the feedback of the floor pressing into large parts of my body. We move into some work on all fours, with some standing poses and lunges to mobilise the upper body. We then work that into an 'effortless' Camel pose. We practice all of this in a constant stream of moment to moment, present awareness. Knowing deep down there is only this moment, and it is only in the Now that we can ever truly relax and come home.
