Have one or two blocks for this class. We often think of our core as the layers of abdominal muscles in the front of our body. However, the torso is a three dimensional shape and the deeper abdominal muscles wrap around the back of the body too. The lower back muscles are also connected to the core. In this class, you will practice to engage these muscles as a whole and experience your core as a cylinder rather than a two dimensional part. You will also practice circular movement to open your joints and reinforce the engagement of your circular core so you can feel the body as a whole moving organism. With Parsvakonasana, Trikonasana, Ardha Chandrasana, Eka Pada Ardha Chandrasana, Supta Balasana.
