In the second part of this series (click for Snaky Spine Part 1), you will dive into the more dynamic poses and sequence to move the energy of the spine, through adapted Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutation) circular movements and some basic standing postures. The intent is to move the energy up from the base of the spine; you will apply Mula Bandha and Uddiyana Bandha to do this. With Surya Namaskar, Prasarita Padottasana, Virabhadrasana II, Utkatasana and Paschimottanasana.
Keep your blanket nearby for the seated pose at the end. A word of caution for the Uddiyana Bandha; if you experience any pains or discomfort practicing the stronger Uddiyana Bandha, either practice the milder version, or skip this part of class.
