Earn the light
An illuminating class where we use the principals of Tapas and Tejas from yoga philosophy to create beneficial challenges for the mind and body, then explore the opportunity to ‘earn light’, which will fundamentally change how we show up in this life. Tapas means the stoking of our inner fire, which leads to the purification that builds character and strengthens our will. When you are able to say, ‘my intention is stronger than the obstacles I face; my willpower is stronger than my old patterns’ – i.e. when tapas is rightfully applied – it leads to Tejas (light). This class is designed to provoke thinking and action, and to take its learnings off the mat and into the world to create change.Props (optional): bolster or cushion, 2 blocks
Balance is not something we find, it is something we create. In this flow, we'll explore balance on physical, mental and emotional level. We'll begin with some shaking and alternate nostril breathing before making our way slowly and mindfully into our flow, then returning to the ground for some delicious floor poses. You will walk away feeling brighter and more connected after this practice.Props: 1 or 2 blocks and a cushion or bolster to sit on.
Spring Yin Yang practice
In Spring, those aspects of ourselves that have been dormant over the Winter months begin to awaken. Nature enters a cycle of renewal, growth and expansion – so does the energy within us. For any plant to grow well, the health of the soil is most important. And like soil, the health of our mind and body is essential. This is a Yin/Yang yoga practice with pranayama, affirmation and deep rest. We’ll create a deep intention for this new cycle of growth and expansion into the light once more.Props (optional): bolster or cushion, 2 blocks.
Invest in rest
Peace is not the highest goal in life, it is the most fundamental requirement. And yet it is so easy to lose ourselves in that endless to do list. This class is an invitation to pause, to practice stopping and go in – to recalibrate and to emerge and orientate from that well of peace from within. I love this quote and it is so true: "Peace comes to us when peace comes from us.”You’ll need a bolster or couple of firm pillows and two blocks for this class.
Autumn Yin sequence
This Yin sequence is designed to nourish the earth element, connected to the stomach and spleen meridians. It will also help to support your immune system during the change in season from the heat of Summer to the more introspective months of Autumn and Winter. Feel whole again

For how can you love if you are not there? Guided by Katy's unique teaching style, you will walk away feeling strong and open in the body and deeply connected to the preciousness of life once more.
Grace and strength
Live by grace, not by perfection! This practice will enable you to tap into the much-needed qualities of grace and strength through postures, the mind and your emotional state – even at times enquiring if it’s possible for them to co-exist in the same moment. This concept is a spring board to take off the mat and into the world; to be able to show up in our power yet also in a state of ease and grace, even in the most challenging of times. A fabulous class which focuses on strengthening the hips to deeply support the back and transform your mental and emotional state.
Vessel of peace
Through a sweet, soulful slow flow we enquire into the nature of where yoga points us. We'll begin the practice with some pranayama (Kapalabhati and Alternate nostril breathing) and follow with a yoga practice that invites us to expand the tejas or light within. You might like a couple of blocks and something to sit on for this practice.

Tapas and Tejas
Tapas refers to the inner fire that your practice builds. The principal is to find the level of Tapas or challenge within a practice that is right for you to build this inner fire. If you succeed then you start to cultivate Tejas. Tejas is the radiant, inner glow that someone emotes that draws people to them; a quiet, effortless joy that radiants for no reason save the fact they are alive.
