A wonderful opportunity to enjoy some sun, sea, yoga and relaxation in a charming traditional farm and yoga retreat, set on Turkey's Mediterranean 'Turquoise' coast. With terraced vegetable fields, orchards, stunning views out to sea from the yoga shala, sunset views over dinner, mountain views and just a five minute walk through the forest to a lovely swimming cove this really is an idyllic location and the perfect place to deepen your yoga and meditation practice.
Your home for the week is the delightful Suleyman's Gardens, situated on Turkey's gorgeous 'Turquoise Coast' with stunning views from the dinning terrace and yoga shala. It is a simple, traditional venue in a fantastic location and you will feel immersed in nature. There is a small pool for cooling off and you are a 5 minute stroll to a beautiful stretch of coastland and a lovely cove where you can swim in the clear blue ocean and laze in a shady spot.
If you want to venture out you are just 15 minutes by bus to sandy beaches, 20 minutes from Olu Deniz arguably one of Turkey's finest beaches and 45 minutes to Fethiye an elegant costal town with bustling markets, night bazaars and restaurants.
The long morning practice will be a dynamic, creative, playful and explorative ‘deep slow flow’ asana practice and will include meditation and pranayama. By emphasizing the breath, mindfulness & skilful action and building up through a range of appropriate options – students, from the less experienced to the more advanced, will discover how to work peacefully at the level appropriate to them.
The afternoon session will be a mellower, soothing and nurturing practice, delving into areas such as yin yoga, restoratives, pranayama, chakras, yoga nidra and meditation. This will totally bliss you out!
We finish in time to watch the sun go down and maybe even indulge a sunset swim.
Jeff has lots of experience teaching students of all levels. His depth of understanding, playful approach, ability to challenge students to safely explore their edge and his love of pranayama and meditation will give you the perfect opportunity to deepen your practice both physically and internally.
Things To Do
In between yoga sessions you have time to relax by the pool, wander down to sea for a swim, laze in the shade, enjoy a massage, take a walk along the stunning costal paths or venture a little further to nearby sandy beaches. There will be opportunities for optional individual or group excursions to local historical sites, local towns and a boat trip. We usually also enjoy at least one dinner out as a group. If you are looking for peace and quite and want time to yourself there are plenty of quiet shady spots or if you are feeling sociable a yoga holiday is a great way to make new friends.
