There will be two workshops, suitable for all levels, each day with a break for lunch. You are welcome to join Esther for lunch in the Clayton Hotel during the break and perhaps take a stroll around Cork city (weather permitting)

Allow your body what it does best; bring itself back into balance
We explore how our energies tend to gather in our head, and you will learn how to let those energies settle in the lower Dantian, the energy centre in the lower belly. According to Daoist tradition, "Hundreds of diseases will disappear once the energy comes down from the head and collects in the lower Dantian". You will take home techniques and an understanding of how to do just that.
09.30 - 12.00
A short talk, a breathing practice to organise your energy system, and a flowing, all-level yoga practice that focuses on opening, strengthening and stabilizing the body, as well as easing the mind. Finishing with a meditation.
13.30 - 16.00
Stable as a mountain - Yin yoga and yoga nidra
During this Yin yoga class we establish a mountain-like presence within - grounded, solid and stable. When we feel connected to the earth there is a palpable sense of groundedness, which in turn helps us to feel a connection to the center of ourselves and the center of all things. The invitation in this class is to rest effortlessly within ourselves, leaving everything as it is. This is a way to make peace with ourself, the world and everything in it, because that is what peace is: to be okay with the reality of the present moment.
Sunday 16th February 2020
9.30 - 12.00
Move from love - Yoga as an embodied self inquiry
Instead of looking outside for what we can get from the poses, this practice encourages us to look within, to explore, feel and work with what is already there. It's a fluid, slow-flow practice - sometimes strong, sometimes meditative. The invitation is to unwind our body through spontaneous and intuitive, non-linear movements. There's also some strengthening work to ensure we're stable enough to allow for - and revel in - this freedom of movement. All this is interwoven with some space and silence so we can check in with ourselves and move from a place of deep presence.
To move from love means learning to listen to how our body talks to us. This includes feeling the body's responses to the poses we practice and adjusting as needed. Moving from love means getting to know and learning to feel habitual patterns and tension that may be holding us back. When we suppress one emotion or physical sensation, we suppress the opposite emotion and sensation. To be able to relax, we have to be willing to feel our tension. To be able to be free, we have to be willing to get insight into where we are holding on. Once we accept ourselves and our bodies, our true nature and our inherent joy can begin to reveal itself.
13.30 - 16.00
