Vinyasa Flow Yoga for beginners


This beginner's series teaches you the foundation of Vinyasa Flow Yoga, a dynamic Yoga style that links the movement with the breath.

In this program you will learn:

  • Foundational poses, standing poses and seated poses
  • Integrating your breath with your routine
  • Vinyasa flow and a sun salutation

This style of Yoga requires your mind to stay focused in the present to be able to keep up. Focusing keeps you from drifting off and helps you to be present in your body rather than stuck in your head.

Suggested Schedule:

Repeat the first class 3-4 times a week until you are comfortable with all the poses, then move on to the next class.  Below is a brief overview of the classes and suggested reading for this program.

Class1 - This class teaches you foundational poses including postural alignment tips.
    Read - 8 tips on how to do yoga at home, to help kick start your practice with some great tips and insights. 

  • Class 2 - Repeating the poses from the first class, learn to bring them together with your breath. Includes a sun salutation and ujjayi breath.
    Read - Principles of Alignment, learn how to apply these important principles to open your body in a safe way.
  • Class 5 - Full 60 min Vinyasa Flow class. Including all the poses you have previously learned and some new poses and flow’s too! This class can be repeated as often as you like.

Why Vinyasa?

Practicing this style of Yoga will strengthen the body, increase flexibility, and bring overall balance and better health to the body.
Emotionally, it steadies the mind through focus on the breath. You will feel focused and calm.
On a spiritual level, this practice is a moving meditation. Yoga opens you up to this moment, which is all there is and which is the doorway to experience truth and real happiness.
