Most modern asana practices work through a series of linear movements and shapes - forward bends, backbends and twists. However, the body is designed to move in a variety of directions, as you may notice in your everyday life. The muscles in your body spiral around the bones and the bones themselves have no straight lines. In this class Julie will take you through the dynamics of spiral actions in the spine, the arms and the legs and show you a different approach to moving in and out of asana. You’ll find new sensations in movements and hopefully a greater ease and freedom within your practice and your body.
