When loved ones suffer

When people we love suffer, because of illness or a dark time they are going through, it can be a challenge to stay grounded and present facing their pain. Fear may be triggered in ourselves, making us want to 'fix' the problem or do something, even when we can't. By grounding and nurturing ourselves and allowing our own emotions to surface during the meditation, we can perhaps relax into what is and stay open and truly available for the person we love. Only when we allow our own fear and hurt to be part of our experience, will we be able to simply stay present in someone else's suffering.聽
