Jeff talks about thoughts and feelings as if they were our 'inner children" that just want to be loved and included in awareness. Sometimes we seem to be overwhelmed by anger, fear, sorrow; it's like there are all kinds of "children" shouting for our attention at the same time, resulting in a seeming chaos. How can we begin to find peace in the midst of the chaos? How can we begin to turn lovingly towards our "children" and embrace them as part of the moment, seeing them not as mistakes, or punishments, or signs of our failure, but as welcome guests in the open space of meditation? This is a radical self-love!
