By calling on our inner warrior we can find an inner attitude of strength and openness. Instead of finding shelter in our defenses, we will practice to meet whatever comes up in our experience in all its rawness and intensity. Pema Chodron, a well known Buddhist teacher, calls this "'staying with the soft spot"; connecting with the open presence that is found within any emotion or sensation. Today we will sit in this inner warrior pose, with an open heart and the courage to meet life as it is, firmly rooted in our physical presence.
