After a hectic day the mind can be restless. There may be too many thoughts for you to find a sense of ease and calmness and you may have difficulty getting to sleep. In this practice we focus on the breath and mantra to help still the mind. We start with some simple forward bends to warm up and bring a bit more awareness into the body. Then we do some breathing practices to help balance the fluctuations of the mind. We deepen the calming effect of the breathing practices even more by repeating the mantra HAMSO - SOHAM meaning I AM . You may be familiar with SOHAM already. In this class, HAMSO is intended to have a more grounding effect, bringing awareness even more deeply into the body and helping to settle a restless mind.
