Short, well-rounded backbend practice

In this sequence we open the front of the body and strengthen the back of the body in preparation for back bending. We also explore the possibility of breathing into the 'width' of the poses once we're in them, to feel the effects. This sequence isn't complicated but it's necessary to have some experience of back bending as we move fairly quickly into the poses. It's also a good idea to do a few Sun Salutations or warm-up before this class if you are still new to the practice.
