The piriformis is a muscle deep in the gluteal area, in between the hip bones in the pelvis. Due to our lifestyle or repetitive movements this muscle can be tense, creating sciatica-like pain running through the leg. This sequence will help you stretch and relieve pain in that deep muscle. This is a great sequence to practice either in the morning or at night before going to bed to release the tension in the gluteal area.
