With different actions and 'drills' to open the front, sides, back and inner hips, this class can be used as a preparation for deeper poses like Hanumanasana or Visvamitrasana. But it is also a nice and playful way to build up awareness throughout the different parts of the hips, even for beginners. Be patient, though - the area of the hips takes time (sometimes a lot of time!) to access. It's okay; just work with what is. You'll need a stable chair, 2 blocks, a belt and a bolster for this class.
