In this tutorial, José explains what the effect of using balls in Yin yoga is, what the goal of deep myofascial release and acupressure is, and how to use balls to relieve tension, pain or ailments. As always, José’s approach is functional; we all have different bodies, tension and ailments so the effects and benefits can vary. José explains how to use the balls to stimulate a certain acupuncture point to harmonise Chi flow, or to release tension in the myofascial tissues. You'll learn how to adapt poses so the balls can hit the ‘right’ spot and enable you to relax and surrender in order to get the most beneficial effect.
