Balancing your backbends

We know that backbends are really uplifting poses and can make you feel like you can conquer the world. What is less known about backbends is that they can also be really calming and contemplative poses if we learn to direct our breath a bit differently. This class is full of Urdhva Dhanurasanas, with different variations and approaches but the most revolutionary part of it all might just be the way you can learn to direct the breath, so that you can really be in the pose, simultaneously experiencing the energy boost and a calming sensation.
