In this practice, you will learn about the elemental energy, Fire, from the perspective of Chinese medicine. José explains how Fire energy is manifested inside you and how you can stimulate the related organs, Heart and Small Intestine, and their meridians using various Yin yoga poses. In doing so you will improve not only your chi and blood circulation, but also connect to your heart which is where your soul resides, according to Chinese Medicine. The heart is where thoughts and emotions arise; if you are true to your heart you are authentic and speak your truth clearly and honestly. To connect with your heart's wishes, you have to turn in and become aware and conscious of your own unique mission in life.
To aid this process, we orbit the energy from our heart around the body and back, and practice Yin poses that will open up the chest, shoulders and upper back. At the end you will have enlivened your passion and enthusiasm and feel more connected to your spirit. Everyone can benefit from this class and different options are given for each pose, so you can adapt them to your needs.
Props needed: blanket, blocks, bolster and/or pillow.
