Introduction

Learn the Ashtanga yoga primary series in this program ideal for beginners - whether you are new to yoga or new to Ashtanga. 

Ashtanga is a strong, structured form of yoga and is great for those who also like a workout. So if you want to feel the benefits of a regular yoga practice and want fast results, this program is for you! 

In this series of 6 classes you will:

  • Learn how to use the breath, bandhas (stabilizing actions in the body) and Vinyasas (pose sequences) to develop a dynamic yoga practice
  • Develop upper body strength and stamina
  • Learn Sun Salutations A & B, standing poses, finishing poses and half of the primary series to Navasana
  • Quieten the mind through focus
  • Learn how to modify poses to suit your body and level

Who is it for?

The program is designed for beginners but anyone new to Ashtanga will benefit from it. The program is available to all EkhartYoga members.
