Find the core line
In this class we'll explore how to find your strong 'core line', using awareness of how the weight shifts, and drawing in your muscles without doing sit ups. Please have two blocks to hand.
A somatic yoga class which explores continuous connection with yourself so that you can tune into feeling your way through the practice and are less focused on how it looks.
If you only have 25 minutes, try this mobilisation for the upper back as we explore twisting the arms like ropes. You will feel step off your mat feeling spacious and hopeful! This is a great class to undo a morning or afternoon of laptop working.
Expand and retract
A delightful, 30-minute exploration of expanding and retracting into poses. This class is great for any time of the day but particularly when you need to move after sitting for long periods of time.
A lovely, juicy, short practice, which is mostly done on the back, guides you through some gentle movements that will help you to enjoy space and mobility in the hips. Have a resistance band or belt and maybe a couple of blocks to hand.
Moving the spine in all directions
Bring some energy back into your day by getting your blood and other fluids flowing through your spine. Please have two blocks ready for this practice.
Side bending spine
A 20 minute mobilisation, conditioning and strength class that will undo tightly held patterns you find yourself in. A great lunchtime class to move your body and get energised for a productive afternoon. Have a couple of blocks ready.
Leading from the sternum
A class to help open up the chest after illness or injury, or if you have held yourself in a protective state. This class will take you out of curling in on yourself and back into the world, leading from the sternum. You'll need 2 blocks and a bolster for this practice.
Spiralling into poses
A 30 minute somatic yoga to explore rotations in poses. If you've been sitting down a lot, this class will wake up lazy muscles! You will need a yoga strap and yoga bricks.
Finding a long spine
A somatic yoga class which explores the movements of the spine and help you find a long spine that is distinct from rounding or arching the back. This class will help you to find a comfortable posture dynamically.Props: a belt, 2 blocks and a blanket.
A 30 minute movement class to wake up the muscles around your torso. If your middle is a riddle, this class is the answer! You will need a strap and a wall.
Moving from your felt sense
This Somatic yoga class explores moving from your ‘felt sense’. The class starts slowly to allow you to tune into your senses so that you move according to how it feels rather than how it looks. You'll need a blanket, bolster and a couple of blocks.
Moving from the spine
A Somatic yoga class which explores moving from the spine for integrated movement. Please have two blocks, a bolster and a blanket ready for this practice.
A Somatic yoga class to find appropriate effort in your practice so that your practice feels energising rather than draining. Please have a block handy for this class.
Create some space
A Somatic Yoga class to find more space in your poses to keep your practice playful and your movements juicy. Please have a couple of blocks ready for this class.
A somatic yoga class exploring how to take the effort out of your practice. We will look at finding the space in all poses and how to use the ground to rise up. Please have two blocks handy for this practice.
Yield more, push less
A Somatic yoga class exploring how to lengthen without stretching. We will look at yielding through the heels to find length through the backline of your body.
