In this class I guide you through a restorative yoga practice to help provide some relief and ease when you are experiencing fatigue.Props: 1 bolster, 2 bricks, 1 flat block, 2 blankets (1 belt - optional)
Re-energise and restore
Welcome to this yoga for menopause class with a focus on Kapha dosha. Some of the ways excess Kapha can show up during any of the stages of menopause (from peri-menopause onwards) include lethargy, low mood, depression and sluggish digestion. So, in this practice we'll bring in some energising Pitta to help balance Kapha. Suggested props: 2 bricks, 1 bolster, 1 blanket.This class is part of the Yoga for Menopause program.
Gentle energy flow
Feeling stagnant? This is a practice to help get your energy moving and stretch out any physical kinks. We start lying down, moving gradually into a mini Tabletop / Downward dog flow and then into some standing poses. We come full circle and end up back down on the mat again for Pigeon and a flowing Bridge. A gentle, quiet class which will leave you feeling nourished and restored. (Optional props: 1 or 2 bricks)
Soothing slow flow
In this class I guide you through a soothing slow flow. This is an anytime practice to help soothe your body and mind and create some space.Props: 1 brick (1 flat block - optional)
Desk remedy flow
This one is for the desktop and laptop warriors. In this class I guide you through a flowing practice to provide some relief for those times when you've spent long hours hunched over your work.Props: 1 flat block (optional).
Turning down the heat
Welcome to this yoga for menopuase class with a focus on Pitta dosha. Ways that excess Pitta can show up during any of the stages of menopause (perimenopause, menopause, post-menopause) include hot flushes, night sweats, rage, irritability, fear and aggression. In this class I guide you through a practice to turn down some of that excess heat and encourage balance. Get grounded Yin
Muladhara - the Root Chakra - located under base of the spine is associated with our basic needs of survival, security, safety and defines our sense of self. In this class I guide you through a grounding Root Chakra Yin yoga practice to help you return to your place of inner knowing and truth - that you are enough as you are and that support and stability are available to you.Props: 2 bricks, 1 flat block, 1 blanket.
In this class I guide you through a nurturing, restorative yoga practice. Release tension and stress in both your body and mind as you enjoy the experience of allowing your body to be completely supported by your props. An ideal practice for when you are in need of some restoration.Props: bolster, 2 blankets, flat block, eye pillow, belt, 2 blocks.
Find your equilibrium
Menopause marks the transition into the Vata stage of life. Excess Vata can manifest as common menopause symptoms including anxiety, brain fog, overwhelm, fatigue, panic attacks and insomnia. In this yoga for menopause class I guide you through a practice with a particular focus on balancing Vata dosha to help you find your equilibrium. This class is part of the Yoga for Menopause program.Props: bolster, 2 blankets, yoga belt, eye pillow, flat block, 2 blocks.
Evening wind down
In this class I guide you through a slow, soothing, floor-based practice to help you ease physical and mental tension. Ideal for when you want to wind down at the end of the day but don't feel like moving too much. Props: 2 blocks, flat block, eye pillow (optional), belt (optional)
Yin and Restorative reset
In this class I guide you through a calming Yin and Restorative reset practice - perfect for when you are feeling tired and want a relaxing class but are short on time.Props: Bolster, 2 blocks, eye pillow, flat block, 2 blankets.
